TSAS Workshop – March 7, 2019

TSAS EVENT

This spring we will hold the semi-annual TSAS Workshop in conjunction with Carleton University’s, Faculty of Public Affairs Research Month. The workshop will feature a dramatically new format: It will feature 7-8 short presentation, by TSAS Affiliated Researchers highlighting key findings from their TSAS funded research.

These “5 minute Thesis style” presentations will be followed by 4 breakout groups, which will hold fish-bowl style conversations in which the speakers, matched with representatives from TSAS’s government partners, will facilitate a high-level conversation about the subtopics. This format is intended to facilitate questions and dialogue amongst all participants.

The day will conclude with a return to the larger group where all the breakout groups can share summary results of the discussion.

Speakers list includes:

Christian Leuprecht, Queen’s University / Royal Military College
Logan McNair, Simon Fraser University
Michael Nesbitt, University Calgary
Barbara Perry, University of Ontario Institute of Technology
Jeffrey Ian Ross, University of Baltimore
Rachel Schmidt, Carleton University
