Katie Ford

Junior Affiliate (PhD)

Katie Ford is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Waterloo. The research that Katie intends to carry out focuses on reducing the ability of terrorist organizations to use university campuses as recruitment grounds. She has completed her Masters of Arts at the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs under the supervision of Dr. Littlewood. While there, she completed a masters research project focused on the cross-application of theories of religious conversion to cases of homegrown radicalization. Additionally, I have published on and presented national security focused research, and have taken a number of research positions in academia, the federal government, and private industry on related topics.
