Anas Fassih’s scholarly interests focus on jihadism and the state in Libya and the Sahel. He completed the thesis “The Rise of Jihadism in Libya and its Impact on Regional Stability and Transcontinental Security in Libya” as part of his Masters in International Politics and Security Studies from Bradford, UK, where he was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.
Anas is pursuing his doctorate to further push the boundaries of his knowledge in the subject. In his PHD thesis, he examines the state-society relations and security sector reform in Libya under the supervision of Dr. Andy Knight and Dr. Mojtaba Mahadavi.
