Trevor McIntyre is a master’s student specializing in national security in the Public Safety program at Wilfrid Laurier University. His research interests continue to develop on the future of intelligence collection, critical infrastructure resiliency, and the role of wireless technology to enhance metadata collection. From an academic perspective, he is exploring other graduate programs to pursue formal research in security, technology, and public policy.
Professionally, he is a technical manager with Waterloo Regional Police Service. His background is primarily focused on critical infrastructure (e.g. wireless systems, 9-1-1) that promote public safety. His career is gradually transforming from being highly technical, to influencing decisions on critical systems and policy. He is potentially exploring a shift into national security and influencing Canadian security policy.
