Tandeep Sidhu will begin his doctoral studies in Sociology in September 2019 and aim to build upon his existing understanding of terrorism and violent extremism. He has had the opportunity to engage with literature assessing domestic and international terrorism throughout the course of his undergraduate and graduate education, and he is currently working on several journal articles that provide a quantitative and qualitative analysis of terrorist activities.
Sidhu has a MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice Policy from University of Guelph and a Certificate in Decolonizing Education from Wilfred Laurier, a Certificate in Security, Intelligence and Counter-terrorism from George Brown College. In addition, he has completed the Cyber Crime Specialist Certificate from Humber College, and examined how terrorist organizations use internet technologies. From a professional standpoint, his aim is to continue researching issues to pertaining to terrorism and use my research to guide my professional endeavors.
