Sara Doering

Junior Affiliate (Masters)

Sara Doering a master’s student in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University, with a focus on the study of terrorism and violent extremism. More specifically, her research interests include right-wing extremism, the individual-level study of ideological extremism, and the relationship between mental health and terrorism.

Under the supervision of Dr. Garth Davies and Dr. Ray Corrado, she has worked on multiple projects related to the study of terrorism including creating a multinational data set of right-wing terrorist incidents, as well as preparing literature reports on topics including countering violent extremism programming and extremist typologies. Additionally, Sara has presented these projects at criminology conferences and symposia.

Upon completion of master’s degree, Sara intends to continue her education at the PhD level, and continue studying terrorism and violent extremism.
