Claire Wählen is a Program Director with the NATO Association of Canada, responsible for ensuring their programming during the 70th anniversary year is substantive, that the roundtables and keynotes and debates being organized cover policy areas both obvious and tangential to the usual NATO suspects; from cyber to hybrid warfare, human rights and terrorism, climate change and women in peace and security and beyond. She was formerly a parliamentary reporter in Ottawa with iPolitics.ca, focused on national security. She has a Bachelor in Journalism and Political Science from the Universities of King’s College and Dalhousie respectively and has applied to study at a master’s level for the 2019/2020 academic year.
