Andrea Corradi

Junior Affiliate (PhD)

Andrea is currently a doctoral student in Criminology at Pennsylvania State University. Her Master’s Thesis was an empirical application of Mariana Valverde’s Security Projects Framework, in the form of a qualitative examination of how security policies on a Canadian university campus are created, implemented, and experienced. She has been a Junior Affiliate of TSAS since 2016, and is looking forward to working on comparative research involving the United States and Canada.

Andrea is currently working on projects involving police militarization and equipment from the Department of Defense, and the social determinants of kidney dialysis. She is still heavily involved in projects regarding security on university campuses and is expanding to security issues at other large venues, particularly regarding mass casualty events.
