Adjediji is the Senior Reserach Fellow with Political Science Institute/ Chair for International Relations and European Politics at the University of Cologne, Germany.

Adediji’s research focuses on conflict analysis, conflict resolution, terrorism, among others, in sub-Saharan Africa. In the face of the proliferation of weapons, the displacement of people and crimes against humanity, his research have also extended to genocide prevention and the responsibility of states to protect civilian populations. Within the scope of his research activities, especially the his doctoral fieldwork between 2011 and 2012 on the causes of conflicts in the City of Jos, the capital of the State of Plateau in the Middlebelt region of Nigeria, that my attention was first drawn to the involvement of Boko Haram in taking sides with the Muslims against the Christians in the City of Jos and its environs.
